Celebrating Oman's National Day, Bait Al Zubair will be hosting a unique art project 'Caress the World', featuring French artist Ray Monde was officially inaugurated and is on on view to the public until the end of the month.
The aim of Caress the World is to promote the University of Art, the power of human spirit and the beauty of our earth. The installation of 1400 hands represents the six continents caressing the world, uniting its inhabitants.
In 1990, Ray Monde started her work as an independent artist and soon created several exhibitions around the world.
It first started in North Pole in July 2013 when Ray Monde traveled there to install her work. Each installation is unique and since then it has had manifestations Europe, America, The Far East and now in Oman. The project will finish in 2017 when the installation will be showcased at the Venice Biennale.
